Night Stalker Foundation

The Night Stalker Foundation was founded in October 2009 as a 501c3.  Rated 4 Stars by Charity Navigator, the Night Stalker Foundation is committed to supporting 160th SOAR(A) Families and Unit Members through

  • Family Resiliency Programs (SOAR Family Collaborative)

  • College Scholarships

  • Support for our Families of the Fallen

  • Preserve the legacy of the 160th SOAR(A)

The 160th was formed in response to our country’s need for a unique night-flying aviation rotary wing capability. After failing to rescue the hostages in Iran, the U.S. Army formed the 160th with the motto of “Never Again.” From its inception in 1981, Night Stalkers have fought and bled in every combat action this nation has embarked upon. This relatively small unit has 104 names on its Memorial Wall, demonstrating the resolve of these brave men, women and Families. We will ensure that the unit’s motto of “Night Stalkers Don’t Quit” continues as we care for those who serve this storied organization. Partner with us and enable these great Warriors and Families.

$2.3M Awarded Scholarships

Miller Scholarship- Deadline Oct. 15th

The Special Operations Fund will select a Miller Scholar annually. The Scholar will receive a $5,000 scholarship to support studies, internships, or charitable service abroad. This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate college student, with the intent to complete prior to graduation.

Eligible applicants for the Miller Scholarship must be children of current or veteran Joint Special Operations warriors supported by the following scholarship organizations: The Association (USAF), Night Stalker Foundation (NSF), Navy Tactical Research Command Scholarship Committee (NTRCSC), Rangers Scholarship Fund (RSF), Unit Scholarship Fund (USF), Vigilant Torch Foundation (VTF). These organizations will be asked to assist the SOFund with announcing, tracking, and identifying qualified applicants.

Miller Fellowship- Deadline Oct. 20th

The Special Operations Fund will select one Miller Fellow annually to receive up to $20,000, limited to two years, for a post-graduate Fellowship. Eligible applicants are those who expect to graduate in 2024 from a four-year college prior to the Fellowship, or who are currently pursuing a graduate degree, or who have successfully completed a graduate program within the last three years. The objective of the Fellowship is to provide the selectee an opportunity to become immersed in a foreign culture and work on a service-related project while simultaneously advancing foreign language skills. Applicants will submit proposals to study, work, or participate in charitable or research activities in another country. Proposals should illustrate the applicant’s intentions, what they expect to learn, the potential impact on the community, and how the Fellowship will help prepare them for a career in international public service. Such services include the Foreign Service, the intelligence community, the military, non-profit international development activities, or non-governmental organizations (NGO).

Applications will be evaluated on several criteria, which include a review of the applicant’s undergraduate or graduate academic rigor, including grade point average and academic honors received. Weight will be given to a candidate’s demonstrated or intended public service with added credit given for evidence of preexisting or intended foreign language proficiency.

Join us this October as we remember the launch of America’s “Global War on Terror.” You will have the unique opportunity to meet some of the brave men who took part in what became the longest air assault raid in U.S. military history. Their stories of courage and dedication are ones you won't want to miss. Mark your calendars and be a part of this memorable event!
